Morning at Versailles
Hey guys! Today's post is about my morning visit to the Palace of Versailles. I went on a morning tour to see this magnificent landmark with ParisCityVision; a tour company I recommend if you want to tour Paris or go beyond the city limits. They offer many options that suit any individual willing to explore at their leisure. It's best to book well in advance as availability for a tour can be limited especially during high season. The tour began at about 10 am and the one that I went on was able to skip the line and go straight inside. Keep in mind that security checkpoints are a mandatory process before entering to ensure your safety. It was an audio guide tour so we had to use ear buds to listen. The good thing about it was that we weren't listening to a recorded voice, we were listening to our actual guide talking so it made the experience all the more worthwhile.
This was taken before entering the palace while waiting for our turn to go inside. I loved the architecture!
And in we went, going from reality to all out royalty. I couldn't believe my eyes of how kings and queens lived in such luxury in those days. Everything you could see was made out of gold! The detail on everything made you stare in awe. This was the way to live if you were royal.
More and more elegant architecture!
This room was once a chapel where royals held a marriage ceremony. All I could say was wow!
Such a masterpiece!
The most famous room in the entire palace, the Hall of Mirrors! This is by far the most beautiful room I have ever seen. From the intricate artwork on the ceiling to the crystal chandeliers, to the golden statues and large windows made of gold, it was just a masterpiece to walk in and take in all there was to see.
The magnificent splendor of the manicured gardens.
Until next time...
